Be still and hear the sounds

There are different things we can use to steady our mind and reconnect to the present moment. In meditation we often use the breath. It is always here and easily accessible. For some people the breath can be difficult to focus on. It can feel restless or even provoke anxiety. If that is the case you can use other meditation anchors, like sounds.

Sounds are good to practice with for everyone. They come and go, we cannot control all of them. We like or dislike them. It is a lot like our thoughts. I recorded my garden sounds yesterday. Have a listen. Just sit still, feel the contact with the chair, feel your feet on the floor, and listen.
