Be bored

During yesterday's live meditation we explored the topic of being bored. With the restrictions in movement now in place for over three weeks for many of us, boredom might be something you encounter.

Boredom is almost a taboo in our society. It is often seen as something bad. But there are two main reasons why we should not run away from boredom. Firstly, if we do nothing we give our system time to rest, look at cats or dogs, how they master the art of doing nothing. They are resting. The second reason to embrace boredom is that within the state of boredom we give our mind space to be creative. Instead of always doing something, allow yourself to do nothing. It will feel uncomfortable for a while, see if you can go through this until you can rest in doing nothing.
